Brogdale Horticultural Trust, Faversham, Kent Collection is open to visitors from April to December inclusive, Wednesday to Sunday (plus Bank Holiday Mondays) between 11 am and 5 pm. Highfield Park Orchard Highfield Park is situated on the south eastern side of St Albans in Hertfordshire and covers an area the size of approximately 30 football pitches, nearly 25 hectares.
With over 40 different species of trees, Highfield Park is an attractive place to come for a walk, cycle or horse ride. There are also orchards, woodland, meadows, gardens, maze, ponds, boules courts, basket ball hoops, children play areas and football pitches for you to enjoy.

Peoples Trust for Endangered Species Since 1977 the People's Trust for Endangered Species (PTES) has been helping to ensure a future for many endangered species throughout the world. Their work is varied and extensive ranging from direct support for conservationists to involving the public and volunteers in practical action to help specific species and habitats. They are the lead partner for the Biodiversity Action Plan for the Noble Chafer Beetle, a rare beetle found in orchards.
Shenley Park Orchard Once a private Estate known as Porters Park, then a site of a Psychiatric Hospital, Shenley Park is now a unique self-funding Park for all. The Park is steeped in history and hosts an Orchard, Meadow, Woodland walks, Historic buildings and an amazing 2 acre landscaped Walled Garden with an amphitheatre.
Tewin Orchard Tewin Orchard and Hopkyns Wood Nature reserve are managed by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust and are open all year round. The orchard includes 77 year old Bramley's, Monarch and Laxton's plus a stand of Conference Pears. New trees are propagated and planted out including Hertfordshire varieties. The rare Hitchin Pippin has been grafted and cultivated for distribution to suitable sites.
The National Orchard Forum The National Orchard Forum was established to enhance the effectiveness of local orchard groups by pooling information and expertise from around the country. It provides a channel for addressing issues of national interest, for example the implications of genetically modified cultivars or alterations in planning or conservation laws. Also encourages the formation of local groups.
