John Ely Retires From The Highfeild Park
John Ely – a founder member of Hertfordshire Orchard Initiative (HOI) and former Director of Shenley Park is retiring from his “other” Trust at Highfield Park in St Albans in September.
We wish him well in his retirement, though far from retiring, he is off to do voluntary work in India to establish fruit (including apples!) and vegetable production at a local orchard. He says he will research apple growing in India and keep us posted. Maybe the Hitchin Pippin is growing in India?? John will let us know!
