Tewin Orchard and Hopkyns? Wood Nature reserve are managed by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust and are open all year round. The orchard includes 77 year old Bramley?s, Monarch and Laxton?s plus a stand of Conference Pears. New trees are propagated and planted out including Hertfordshire varieties. The rare Hitchin Pippin has been grafted and cultivated for distribution to suitable sites.
